Been busy this Summer!

Spent a week at beach on vacation. Loved it and needed it.

Went to a Baybears game and enjoyed the view from the "Suite".

Went on a houseboat and went swimming...

School started back and now we get back to the grind!

The Vote is in....

Midnight tonight officially marks the end of my reign on the community Board of Directors. Haven't heard when the softball Closing Ceremonies will be. I think the league will sink us to third place since we chose to NOT participate in their "politics". Only time will tell....I'll soon be just a husband and father! About time.

Been Outta Pocket

Been out a while....we lost our first game. Should've won - up 4-0 and 6-2 then lost 7-6. Bad night...I had to pitch. Girls couldn't hit my pitches then played bad because they weren't hitting....rematch tonight....we're home team - hopefully better results....AL

We're Back!

Well, Ryan's tourney is over. They lost out to eventual champs - Daphne. Got my sister married off and now I'm back to the grindstone working. Yesterday I received an updated softball schedule that should be the final change pending weather related cancellations. Season ends on May 19th and Board term ends on May 29th. I'm about ready for both. Lauren worked on her hitting yesterday and I finally got her to choke up on her bat. Seemed to help her some. Final decision will come at our game on Thursday (although it may be a rainout). Not much more to say right now...talk more later....AL

Spring Break!

This week is spring break. Ryan is in the area in a baseball tourney. They won the first two then lost their third. Not much else going on. Working early and often, then spending time with the family. Got to go to my sister's wedding this weekend. Lauren is a flower girl. Get to visit with mom during the weekend....more to come later!

Beat High Gas Prices!

We could easily beat the high gas prices using my little formula: Everyone in America should BOYCOTT Exxon/Mobil, Chevron/Texaco and BP/Amoco until the prices fall back to $1.50 per gallon. Just purchase your gas from all other companies and when these big 3 realize that we are boycotting them, they'll certainly drop prices back until we start using them again! Very simple. Do not try the "Let's don't buy gas on Thursday" trick. They still get their money - just a day later. Everyone should boycot the above listed companies until gas reaches $1.50 per gallon...Nuff said!

Pepsi Cash for Gas

Well, finally the drink cap entry process pays off. I won three (3) times and received my 3 checks for $20 each from Pepsi (Diet Mt. Dew)! That $60 will come in handy at the pumps with gas prices heading toward $3.00 per gallon. We'll have to see if I can win the two more that I can win or the $40K at the end....

Good Week....so far....

Won last Thursday to push regular season record to 3~0. Then won second place in the NCAA BBall tourney brackets....There have been some schedule changes. You'll have to go to the Slick Chicks blog to get the updates. Spring Break week games have been rescheduled for later dates and Easter Saturday games are going to be rescheduled for a later date as well. Got practice tonight....until then....

Beat Dixie Kittens with late rally. Final score...9~5! 2-0 regular season record now....more on this as season progresses....

Victory!

Well, we did it! Playing shorthanded, and combining hot bats and excellent play in the field, we defeated the Stingers 9 ~ 1. Our regular season record now stands at 1 ~ 0. Next game is Saturday....

Showtime!

Well, tonight's the big night! We play the Stingers again. The first on-field contact since the "activities" on Saturday. I truely hope that tonight is uneventful, except for ball playing....we'll have to wait and see....Until next time...
